FIIFA’s dreams come alive

This is bad news for English football. Great draw for the neutral, nightmare for both sets of fans. It’s going to be goals galore Liverpool vs Man City but only one team will progress to the semi-finals. On the positive side at least it is a guarantee that one Premier League will be there.

We can easily have the following four battling each other in the semi-finals:

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern the Munich and Manchester City. These are the 4 best team in the world at moment and FIFA will be salivating at the prospect. It will be a global phenomenon and sales will reach the roof.  They couldn't have hoped for anything better.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich will be very happy with that draw. Both are in wonderful form, both are running away with their respective domestic league titles, and both have been handed ties against the two weakest teams in the quarter-final line-up.

The draw means Pep Guardiola's men face a daunting run of fixtures, starting with the first leg trip to Anfield on either April 3-4 and followed by the Manchester derby on April 7 before the Champions League second leg on April 10-11. Making it more significant, Manchester City may have the chance to seal the title against their rivals.

Liverpool face a similar challenge as they must contest a Merseyside derby against Everton in between the two legs.
